Admiral Tilp

The Admiral Tilp is an ideal boat for casual entertaining. It’s perfect for corporate or association events, bridal showers, birthday parties, office get-togethers, club meetings, and children’s parties. In addition, you may cater the event yourself.

The admiral Tilp is available for private use subject to its schedule. The charter fee includes a captain and crew. We will be glad to provide a list of suggested caterers, music and entertainment companies, theme party and other amenity suppliers. The vessel does not have a generator, thus limiting music to CD’s or an iPod or non–electrical instruments. There are no electrical outlets.

Private Event/Charter Availability

You can charter the Admiral Tilp April through October,seven days a week. She is also available for a one–way cruise. For example: host a reception while cruising from Old Town Alexandria to Georgetown and drop off your guests for dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants in Georgetown at Washington Harbour, or vice versa. Typical cruising time between Alexandria and Georgetown is 90 minutes.

Capacity and Features

The Admiral Tilp holds up to 50 people for private charter. There is bench seating on both decks, buffet table capacity, transparent drop curtains in case of inclement weather, two restrooms, and a wet bar.

Docking

The Admiral Tilp is docked behind the Torpedo Factory Art Center on North Union Street, which is located at the foot of Cameron Street in Old Town Alexandria. She also has special docking privileges at Washington Harbour along the Georgetown waterfront and at the Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens.
